Dear MJCS family,
Hope everyone enjoyed the Fall recess.
There will be no Chinese Painting class this Saturday. The make up class will be scheduled to 12/7.
Mid-term exam is this Saturday. Best of luck to our students on the exam.
Parent-Teacher Conference is this week from 11:30am to 12:30 pm. Be sure to stop by your child’s class to discuss with the teacher to help your child to learn better.
In-school speech contest is scheduled on 11/23. Thanks to parents and teachers for encouraging their kids to participate. We look forward to enjoy their performances.

The followings are news from the MJCS PTO:
Discounted Ticket Sale for Vernon Light Festival: With special thanks to parent Cherrie Liu for the arrangement, MJCS PTO is selling discounted tickets to the Vernon Light Festival. The festival is from November 15 to February 2, 5pm-10pm. The price for an adult ticket is $19.99 (the price on their website is $19.99 plus $3.99 fee). The first 100 tickets purchased will get a complimentary child ticket ($18.51 value. Kids under 12 years old). Buying one adult ticket gets one child ticket free. Help support the school by purchasing ShopRite, Hmart and 99 Ranch Market gift cards at face value. 5%-6% of all gift card sales will be donated to the school. Gift cards can be purchased in the lobby at drop-off or at the PTO table in the Cafetorium.
Vendors will be selling lunch boxes in the Cafetorium lobby each week from 11:00am-12:30pm. Here are this week's vendors:
- Domoko Sushi Ramen (teriyaki lunch boxes, noodles, ramen soup and sushi rolls)
- Happy Family (assorted appetizers and lunch boxes), Lin’s Palace（Taiwanese specialties,
fried fish, soups, homemade Chinese sausages and fish balls and
– Bo Hai Dumplings (assorted frozen dumplings and buns).
