WEEK SIX

Dear MJCS family,                                             October 19, 2019 

This year’s CACA Annual BBQ was very fun! Please check our school’s Facebook group for pictures from the event. 

The following are highlights of upcoming events:

• This Saturday, Dr. Wilbur will continue to take class pictures of 1A, CSL3, all PC classes, and all Cantonese classes. Volunteers will guide the classes to the gym. 

• Please help us continue to support MJCS by reaching out to local businesses for more yearbook ads sponsors.  (Sponsor form is as attached.) 

• In-class speech contest is scheduled on 11/2. Please encourage your child to participate and help your child to prepare. Please contact your child’s teacher should you need assistance. Topics and rules are attached. 

Here is some information from the MJCS PTO:

• Thank you to the parents who helped out during the breakfast sale event last Saturday; we made $298.25 at the event! 

• Free Seminar – Saturday, November 2nd at 10am – 11:30am: Poetry Reading and Book Signing by Dr. Jiayan Mi! This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP for your seat: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0B4AAFA623A02-marlboro6

• Help support the school by purchasing ShopRite, Hmart and 99 Ranch Market gift cards at face value.  5%-6% of all gift card sales will be donated to the school. Gift cards can be purchased in the lobby or at the PTO table in the Cafetorium.

•   Here are this week's vendors from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm:

• Hsiu-Ling Taiwanese Kitchen: assorted lunch boxes and bubble tea

• Domoko Sushi Ramen: teriyaki lunch boxes, noodles, ramen soup and sushi rolls

• Happy Family: assorted appetizers and lunch boxes

親愛的中部中文學校大家庭成員們，  

中美文化協會的重陽節燒烤聯誼活動圓滿閉幕。大家都玩得很盡興！學校的臉書團中有精彩的照片紀錄分享。

以下是本週活動焦點：

本週六潘瑋柏醫師將持續替我們拍攝班級團體照。青年義工將會到各班帶領師生到體育館拍攝。本週接受拍攝的班級有傳統中文一年甲班、雙語3班，以及所有實用中文班和所有粵語班。

• 請大家繼續支持本校、募集更多商家在本校年刊上刊登廣告。（登記表如附件）

• 11月2日是班內國語粵語演講比賽活動日。請鼓勵您的孩子參與，並協助孩子們準備！若需要協助的話，請與孩子們的老師聯繫。比賽題目及規則請見附件。

 家長會通訊 ：

• 感謝家長們的支持！上週六的家長會早餐義賣會，家長會募得了$298.25！

• 支持家長會。 請踴躍購買本家長會代售之超市禮卡！我們代售ShopRite、漢龍超市及大華超市等禮卡。每銷售一張禮卡，家長會將獲得百分之五到六的回扣、嘉惠學子！ 您可在接送孩子時，在前廳或大禮堂中向家長會義工購買。感謝大家對中文學校的愛護與支持。
