Dear MJCS Families: 

Please note In School Abacus Contest is cancelled this Saturday.

Don’t miss out!!  CACA Fun Day will be at our school on Sunday, 5/15 from 12pm to 5pm!  We will have great performances, lots of delicious food and many in-door and out-door games to play!  Buying the Fun Day ticket in advance paid $10 will receive 22 tickets!  Please purchase the tickets at PTO desk.  Also, just a reminder that due to President Obama will be at Rutgers University graduation ceremony on Sunday, heavy traffic and roads block may be expected between New Brunswick to East Brunswick. Please allow extra time for the traffic.

Summer is only 1 month away.  Wondering how to let your child to spend this long summer vacation?  No worry!  Below 2 summer camps are very fun and we now accept registration:

2016 CACA Summer Camp – 7/25 to 7/29 from 9am to 4pm.  Registration is due by 5/22.  You can find all details in the website: www.cacanj.weebly.com  Or, please come to our Administration from more details.

2016 AJNCS Youth Chinese Orchestra Summer Day Camp -- 7/2 to 7/4 from 9am to 4pm.  You can find all details in the website: www.anjcs.org  Or, please come to our Administration from more details.

Please note the school safety duty is mandatory and is not part of PTO volunteer credit.

Early registration is starting until 6/4.  $30 discount will be given for the early registration. 

ACTFL test will be scheduled in May.  Our upper grade class students who are taking the test this year, please soon register with our administration office.  Thank you

Our yearbook sponsoring will be closed by 5/21.  If you need the sponsor form, please contact with school administration.

PTO News:

1. Please help the PTO in its goal to sell $18,000 of Shoprite and hMart Giftcards. PTO receives 5%from each giftcard purchased. This will enable the PTO to donate $900 to the school. Giftcards will be available for sale in the lower lobby at drop-off or at the PTO table in the cafeteria.  Thank you for your continued support.
    
2. The PTO Mother’s Day Breakfast Sale this past Saturday was a great success. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered to set up/serve/clean up, all the parents who donated all the delicious foods and items for sale, as well as all the parents who stopped by to support the sale.  It would not have been possible to have the breakfast sale without all your help.
    
3. CACA Funday will be on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Volunteers are needed for this event as well as donations of homemade Pork and Century Eggs Congee. The Sign up genius email has already been sent out. All Volunteers/ Food Donations will earn one PTO credit towards the refund of the PTO deposit. PTO deposit will be refunded upon completion of the two PTO credits.  Discounted tickets (10% discount) for Funday will also be available for advance purchase in the school lobby or at the PTO table in the cafeteria. Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid the long lines on Funday. Price: 22 tickets for $10.
    
4. Café Philo @ NJ is back at MJCS this Saturday, May 14, 2016 for the fourth and final seminar in this series. The topic of this week’s seminar is:
   Mosquito season is coming, are you Zika ready?
   Speaker: Chi-Wei Lu, Ph.D. in Virology, Assistant Professor of Ob/GYN, Rutgers University
   Venue: Room 406 (in the cafeteria)
   Time: 9:30 to 11:00 am
