Dear MJCS Families: 

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the CACA Speech Contest and thank you to all the parents and volunteers who made it all possible.

There is still time to support the arts.  The documentary, Beyond Beauty, Taiwan From Above, will be shown at the New Providence High School on Sunday 12/14 at 2pm.  The director will be in attendance and he will be answering questions at the conclusion of the film.  Take advantage of this rare opportunity to understand the mind of a director and his visions.  Tickets available at admin table.

Save The Date !!!  CACA’s Annual Gala is scheduled for March 07, 2015 at the Somerset DoubleTree Hotel.  This will be the biggest party of the school year.  There will be over 200 people in attendance.  This is a great time to meet good people from the other CACA Subgroups.  Babysitting will be available.  Please stop by the admin table for more information.  This is a semi-formal event so make it a parent’s date night and support CACA and MJCS at the same time…..while having fun and dancing !!!  Tickets are $75 per person, 6pm – 12am. (cocktail hour, 3 course meal, live music, exhibitions, DJ, raffle and good company).  You do not want to miss this event !

For those of you who have children entering college next year or in a couple of years.  Simon Chen and Susanna Chiu, along with PTO, will be conducting a casual seminar to give your teenage child/children a glimpse of college life in the first year.  Don’t miss this opportunity to help prepare your teenager(s) for the challenges ahead as presented by college students !!!  PTO will send an invitation to this seminar.  Please register so PTO can determine how much pizza and refreshments to order.

PTO News:

1. PTO is still taking orders for class photos.  We will have a table set up by food vendors after class.  Photos are also available for pickup.   Please consider ordering extra photos to include with your holiday cards.
    
2. Stock up on Shoprite and Hmart gift cards for the holiday.  Gift cards make great gifts for teachers and service person.  Shoprite and Hmart donates 5% of purchases to the school.
    
3. Thanks to Loretta, Melanie and Muriel for volunteering to help with gift wrapping this past Sunday at B&N bookstore.  PTO received  $47 in donation and at the same time we were able to promote MJCS to many shoppers in our community.

親愛的各位老師,家長,同學們，

恭喜所有參加CACA中美文化協會舉辦的校際演講比賽參賽者, 同時也非常感謝家長們和義工們的幫忙. 

中美文化協會藉由 Jeanny Lin 小姐的熱心與努力，邀請到 "看見臺灣"  著名的導演齊柏林先生於百忙之中，特別自台灣抽身來到新澤西州，於電影演出前後與大家做心得交流.  無論您是從欣賞美景的角度，或是以懷念家園的角度，甚至以環保的角度來看，這都是一部不能錯過的影片。請大家不要錯過這個難得的機會. 詳情請看附上的文件

重要公告 1 ：

請和我們一起慶祝中美文化協會（我們的上級組織CACA）週年慶典。時間：2015年3月7日，在Eatontown Double Tree Hotel舉行 , 希望大家不要錯過這個一年一度盛大的派對. 到時將有超過二百多人參加, 是一個認識其他CACA 成員的好機會.  而現場托兒有服務, 歡迎大家一家大小一起參加.

你的小孩明年或在不久的將來高中畢業了嗎, 是否在為审請大學而煩惱? Simon Chen, Susanna Chiu 還有家長會將會舉辦一次講座, 讓你和你的小孩對大學的第一年有更多的了解和認識. 希望你不要錯過這個難得的機會去多多了解大學的生活. 家長會將會發出更多關於這個講座的資料. 如有興趣, 請和家長會聯繫, 可讓家長會預早知道參加人數.

1. 家長們請到美食攤位處購買相片,家長們可以多買幾張用來作為聖誕卡送給親戚朋友們
2. 節日將要到來, 希望大家多買Shop Rite/Hmart 禮卡，銷售總額的5%將捐贈給家長會， 多     買多贈，謝謝大家支持！
3. 特別感謝 家長Loretta, Melanie and Muriel 12月7日星期日在Barnes & Noble義務幫客人包禮物, 今年家長會酬到$47, 同時也讓更多的顧客對我們的學校有更多的認識
