Dear MJCS Families:
This Saturday is our In-class speech contest and Halloween Party! NO Culture class this Saturday. Please have your child preparing the speech contest and make sure the topic is under the correct group and age group.
Right after the Language class, our Halloween party will begin and students will have costumes parade starting from the class room to the Cafeteria. Parents please wait for your child at Cafeteria that day. There will be given out candies and cookies! Due to safety concerns, please do not wear a mask or bring any accessories that resemble weapons to school.
Please note school paintball is postponed to November, 12th and no school on that Saturday! Let’s go out and playJPlease see school flyer for more details.
Please note our PC3 teacher Joy Huang is giving free tutoring starting at 11:30am at Cafeteria. Any students who is interested in having tutoring class, please email teacher Huang at (reihwahu03@yahoo.com) before Saturday (appointment only).

PTO News:
1. HALLOWEEN PARTY this Saturday, October 29th!!! Have your child come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes and stop by the cafeteria for trick or treating goodies after language class. PTO is very please to announce that we have several parents signed up to decorate and supply goodies for our students, which means more goodies for all!!! Remember to bring a bag with you to put all your treats in. We will have children come up to the stage and introduce themselves with name and costume they are wearing and they will be rewarded with extra bag of treats.
PTO is looking for volunteers to help decorate a round table in the cafeteria with Halloween decorations and supply some goodies to give out to our students.
This volunteer event will earn one credit towards your PTO Refund.
Please consider donating somegoodies, ie, candies, cookies, chips, toys etc. to make this party really fun for the kids. PTO thank you in advance, just drop off at PTO or administration desk in the cafeteria.

2. SAVE THE DATE : November 5th, 10 am - 11:30 am
Jennifer Chen will be hosting a seminar by HIFE (Heartland Institute of Financial Education) a national non-profit organization whose mission is to promote financial literacy across North America. A college education is every parent's dream for their children. We want the best, but often wonder, "How will we pay for it?" Heartland will assist the student with the entire college process, from preparation to admission to selection to financial-aid guidance. A process call " Do College Right". PTO will be sending out a sign up genius to attend this very informative seminar. Please note, attending this seminar WILL NOT earn credit toward PTO refund.
3. Stop by PTO desk and support school and PTO by purchasing Shop Rite and H Mart gift cards. 5% goes to the school!!
4. Stop by our PTO craft table set up every week in the cafeteria. The youth volunteers will help assist your younger child to make personalized craft (ie. bracelet, frames etc.) for a donation of 50 cents per item. We are always looking for donation of craft items new toys etc. Thanks in advance for your support!

本週六學校有班級演講比賽和萬聖節聯歡會！本週沒有文化課。 請各位家長為您的孩子準備好演講比賽。請家長確定您孩子的比賽題目是在正確的組別和年齡組。
週六的萬聖節聯歡將在語言課後開始。 課後學生將會從教室至禮堂大廳萬聖節遊行。 請家長於週六語言課後在大廳等候您的孩子。請為您孩子準備好萬聖節服裝及因安全上的考量請注意孩子不可帶面具和有象徵武器的玩具。
由於天氣的原因,本校打漆彈活動正式延期至11月12日！ 那天學校停課，希望大家踴躍參加同樂！ 詳細內容請看活動傳單。

家長會通知：
1. 本週六就是萬聖節聯歡會了！請大家準備好您的孩子萬聖節服裝和您孩子一起在語言課後來禮堂同樂！ 因安全上的考量請注意孩子不可帶面具和有象徵武器的玩具。
語言課後學校將會在禮堂發糖果和餅乾。我們已經有些家長報名捐贈糖果和小禮品送給同學，記得帶著袋子來裝你拿到的東西喔。 我們會讓所有穿萬聖節服裝的同學上台展示他們的服裝並且將得到額外的禮物。家長會徵求家長義工的幫忙佈置會場以及提供小禮品給當天的學生。 義工家庭將會獲得一個家長會點數以供退費使用。 希望家長們能提供點心、糖果、零食或玩具等。
